Sydney power outage hits morning commuters ahead of another scorcher
A power outage in Sydney has hit morning commuters ahead of another scorching heatwave.
More than 1,000 AusGrid customers have lost power in Barangaroo, Wynyard and Martin Place.
The fault also knocked out traffic lights in Barangaroo and Wynyard and brought traffic to a standstill at the intersection of York and Market streets.
The company is working to restore power, but there are reports that this will not be resolved until 10am.
AusGrid has confirmed that more than 950 customers have lost power in Barangaroo, Wynyard and Martin Place
