This is the terrifying moment when a brute prowled an upstate New York town with a massive shotgun after a shocking post-ghost accident attack.

Footage showed the suspect walking across the street in Poughkeepsie on Sunday during the gruesome attack.

It came after two suspects assaulted two victims with a baseball bat and knife after they crashed into their vehicles in Pershing Avenue Park.

A ghost accident in Upstate New York resulted in a scene straight out of Grand Theft Auto — after disturbing video of the scene showed one man hitting another with a baseball bat

Both are charged with assault after a bystander filmed one of the men hitting an unnamed victim with a baseball bat.

Police said the other victim, who lay bloodied on the ground while the man was beaten, was stabbed by the attacker brandishing the bat.

Police in the city – which has been plagued by gang violence for years – are now trying to piece together what happened, using now-viral bystander footage as evidence.

Meanwhile, others who witnessed the chaos are now being questioned by the department, which said on Wednesday it was still trying to figure out the aftermath of the incident.

In a preliminary statement, the local police officer gave an account of what they believe happened, revealing that police reported a “breakdown” at 3.10pm on Sunday.

The outage, according to the department, occurred after two vehicles were seen driving through Pershing Avenue Park, one of them hitting two people and another vehicle.

That was when violence broke out, police said, culminating in the partially filmed massacre that has since circulated on social media.

While it remains unclear exactly who did what to whom, officers said several people were attacked, with one of the affected individuals stabbed with a knife and the other repeatedly beaten with a baseball bat.

The stabbing is not captured in any online video, but the brutal beating was – showing one of the suspects, dressed in a white T-shirt, using both hands to repeatedly knock down an already motionless victim.

As he lies on the ground and appears to be calling for help, another suspect is seen walking down the street – as several onlookers look on – armed with a shotgun held in plain sight.

At several points he appears to be aiming the weapon, though it is unclear whom.

Police said in their statement that Paulin, from Beacon, and Taylor, from Poughkeepsie, were both arrested following the uproar – though they have yet to reveal whether either can be seen in the shared clips.

Officers said two people were rushed to hospital as a direct result of the series of altercations, with one being released that day and the other suffering “serious injuries”.

Police have not released the identities of either patient. DailyMail.com has contacted the office for comment.

As for Paulin and Taylor, both are charged with assault, with the former also charged with attempted assault, also a misdemeanor.
