A potato chip magnate was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly assaulting his wife earlier this week.
Ryan Albright was arrested in Maine on Saturday morning after Bangor police responded to calls of a “family fight.”
His wife, the alleged victim, reportedly suffered minor injuries.
Albright, the president of Covered Bridge Potato Chips, was in court Monday where bail was ordered at $750. He has since been released.

The Covered Bridge Potato Chips company released a statement earlier today announcing the appointment of Brook Dickinson as Executive Vice President.
Albright reportedly “chose to take an extended leave of absence in light of recent personal health issues.”
The release further praised Albright for his “tremendous contributions” to the company’s “progress and wished him and his family continued success in their personal plans.”
The company is a fourth-generation family business in New Brunswick, Canada. In March earlier this year, the company’s factory was destroyed by fire. There were no injuries.

Albright released a statement days after the fire announcing the destruction of the factory with “deep hearts” and sending a message of thanks to those who supported the company.
“Family is at the heart of our business and that includes our valued employees,” he said.
“We trust that we can count on you – our consumers, customers, suppliers, friends and families – for your patience and continued support as we find our way forward.”
He continued CTV News in May that he hoped to rebuild and reopen a new factory on the same site by the end of 2025.
Albright’s next court appearance is scheduled for January 13.
