Portsmith worksite accident: Man rushed to hospital in serious condition

A man has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after a serious accident at work.

The incident happened at a workplace in Portsmith in far north Queensland at around 12.40pm on Tuesday.

The man is said to have become entangled in an Auger, a corkscrew-shaped device often used in workplaces to drill into pieces of wood.

A man has been rushed to hospital (pictured) in a serious condition after suffering serious leg injuries at a workplace in far north Queensland on Tuesday afternoon.

He is said to have suffered serious leg injuries as a result of the incident and was taken to Cairns Hospital in a serious condition.
