Pornhub’s search for solar eclipse porn has skyrocketed
Only in America would people get horny on the way to a solar eclipse.
Pornhub revealed that terms like “eclipse sex” and “eclipse orgasm” were the most popular searches on Monday, with a shocking 6,800 percent increase.
Curious users searched for fresher terms like ‘sex during eclipse’ and ‘eclipse my c***’.
‘Eclipse karma’ also topped the list, and it turned out to be a porn star performing sexual acts with different partners.
However, people seemed to take a break from their Pornhub eclipse fetishes for about an hour to watch the celestial event, but resumed their normal levels once the moon bypassed the sun.

DailyMail.com researched the key terms and found nothing related to the event where the moon blocked the sun – it seems people were in the mood during the eclipse.
If people were hoping to find a subgenre of the solar eclipse on Pornhub, they were met with disappointment.
There was one video of the solar eclipse uploaded to Pornhub, but nothing explicit in the footage.
Other popular terms included ‘sexy eclipse’, ‘witch orgasm’ and even ‘eclipse glasses’.

In states where the solar eclipse reached totality, people took a break from their need for self-intimacy, according to Pornhub, which said site traffic dropped 68 percent in states like Maine and Ohio.
In contrast, people on the West Coast saw no need to pause Pornhub viewing, as traffic only fell by eight percent in California and nine percent in Oregon.
The concept of turning to porn during national and international current events is nothing new – at the height of the ChatGPT system’s release, Pornhub saw a surge in searches for AI robots.
In recent months, porn has expanded to allow viewers to build customizable AI models that reference existing porn images and videos, bringing a customized fantasy straight to your phone.
Other, more depressing events, such as Russia’s war against Ukraine, saw a spike in Google searches for porn videos using terms like “Ukrainian porn” and “war porn.”
“The more porn users watch, the more ‘niche’ they want it to be,” says Tom Farr, chief legal advocacy officer at the Center to End All Sexual Exploitation (CEASE). Reduxx.
