A WWE star has announced their shocking departure from the company just hours before the start of Monday Night RAW.
The artist was a regular on the company’s flagship show and was a hit with fans, although her future was thrown into doubt when her real-life partner left the company earlier this year.
Now, Samantha Irwin has revealed that she has left WWE for good, shocking fans who generally agree that the ring announcer is one of the best in the business.
“WWE Universe, my time as your Monday Night Raw Ring Announcer has come to an end,” she posted on social media. ‘I love you so much and this does not mean the end of my art, I still have a lifetime to share. Thank you to every WWE fan who accepted me.
“To the Women’s Locker Room: You are the most incredible group of people on this earth. I am beyond proud to be your colleague and friend.

“To the WWE Superstars, past and present, I have thanked you since 1989 and will continue to thank you for keeping us entertained for the rest of my days. To keep raising the bar. For risking your body and finding new ways to keep us shocked and wanting more. There is no such form of entertainment and not just any entertainer can be a WWE superstar.
“The respect I have for you is more than I can express. Thank you for making it so easy to pour emotion and excitement into your introductions. You are the stars that the stars idolize. It can’t get any bigger and I’m proud to have used my voice to let the world know.’
She then thanked a number of figures backstage, including Paul Heyman and Michael Cole.
There is speculation that Irwin’s departure is linked to that of real-life husband Ricochet, who left WWE in June and almost immediately signed for rivals AEW.
However, Ricochet has said that Samantha Irvin will not be coming to AEW.
Irwin was praised for her ringside reactions at in-ring events, as well as her work on the microphone and social media presence.
