Popular Stokke YOYO pram is urgently recalled over fears dangerous fault could injure children

Parents have been urged to stop using a popular stroller model amid fears the product could cause serious injuries to babies and young children.

Product Safety Australia on Tuesday issued a recall for the Stokke YOYO 3-frame stroller models.

Customers have learned that stroller brakes can fail when in use, causing serious injuries to toddlers and young children.

Shoppers are urged to immediately discontinue use of the product.

The strollers are for babies and toddlers and the strollers are available in black and white.

The affected models are the Stokke YOYO 3 frame models which come in black and white with product code 647101.

The strollers contain serial numbers ranging from 142AA0044415 to 142AA0044564.

The YOYO 3 frame stroller models, which come in black with product code 647102, are also affected by the problem.

The strollers contain serial numbers ranging from 142AA0044565 to 142AA0045564.

Customers can find the serial number on the inside of the frame, under the seat cushion.

The affected products were sold at various retailers and online from September 29 to October 25.

The retailers that sold the strollers include Baby Bunting, Stokk Australia and Baby Kingdom.

Other stores that sold the strollers include Banana Baby, Kiddie Country, Metro Baby, Thememo and Whole Bubs.

Customers are also advised that the seat cushions of the affected strollers are sold in nine different colors.

These colors are black, olive, aqua, stone, taupe, ginger, toffee, Air France blue and Bonpoint beige.

Customers can also check if their stroller is affected by visiting Stokke’s recall page and they can also order a replacement for free.
