It comes just days after Greg was forced to defend a major change to Channel 4’s new TaskMaster spin-off after it ‘disappeared’ from screens.
His fans admitted that they were sad to see him leave the platform, but added that they understood the decision and wished him the best.
The host is absent from the new series, Junior Taskmaster, as he hands over control to Rose Matafeo with Mike Wozniak as her assistant.
It sees 25 children aged between 9 and 11 go head to head in their bid to win the golden cup.
However, Greg and the show’s creator Alex Horne decided not to participate in the spin-off because he thought it would “scare” the kids.
In an interview with Radio times last week he explained: “I’d probably be way too scary for kids and I wouldn’t be able to control myself.”
Greg added: “I think Rose and Mike are a great choice and I think that will be a great combination.
‘I think the show will become its own show [and] I’m looking forward to watching it, but they don’t need my advice.’
Rose and Mike made their debut as hosts and assistants on Friday, with the premiere of the first episode of Junior Taskmaster.

As the 18th series of regular Taskmaster comes to a close this week, the champion will be crowned in Thursday’s final.
The season kicked off in September with Greg and Alex welcoming a new crop of bright-eyed celebrities to the BAFTA-winning show.
This year the duo were joined by comedian and Celebrity Gogglebox star Babatunde Aléshé, comedian and host of The Bugle Podcast Andy Zaltzman.
They were also joined by Starstruck’s Emma Sidi, comedian and writer Rosie Jones and Lead Balloon creator and host of I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue, Jack Dee.
