Popular Aldi product is urgently recalled over fears it cause serious injury or even death

Aldi has launched a recall for the Casalux Solar LED street lights, a popular item from the Special Buys range.

The recall is in response to concerns that the product’s internal batteries may overheat during charging, leading to explosions, meltdowns and fires.

The affected product, identified with model number WFD-SPL004, was sold nationwide in ALDI stores from September 23 to October 27.

Customers are urged to check this model number on the compliance label located under the solar panel. If the product corresponds to the recalled model, consumers are advised to immediately discontinue use due to the serious risk of property damage, serious injury or even death.
