Pop superstar Lizzo announces tour dates in three Australian cities as she prepares to headline Splendor In The Grass in July

Pop superstar Lizzo will be performing in three major Australian cities when she is in the country in July for Splendor In The Grass 2023.

The Rumors singer, whose real name is Melissa Jefferson, will kick off her Australian tour at Perth’s RAC Arena on July 14, followed by a night at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on July 17.

He will then headline Splendor In The Grass in Byron Bay, taking place between July 21-23.

The Grammy Award winner will then travel to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena for a concert on July 23.

While other artists for Splendor have yet to be announced, the first tickets for the festival will go on sale at 9am on March 23.

Lizzo fans can also get tickets for her stadium tours with the American Express pre-sale starting at 11am on March 24.

There will also be a Live Nation pre-sale starting at noon on March 28, with the general public selling live starting at 11am on March 29.

The 34-year-old American singer was announced as the headline act for Splendor 2023 last week, with other artists to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

The grammy award winner will then move to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena for a concert on July 23.

“Lizzo has changed the sound, soul and spirit of popular music,” a festival spokesperson said in a statement.

‘Lizzo makes her Splendor debut armed with her biggest, boldest, most brilliant revolution yet: her second full-length offering, Special.

“Busting with chunky disco-funk grooves designed to get you moving, Special’s energetic and charismatic anthems are their most adventurous yet.”

The About Damn Time singer first performed in Australia in January 2020 when she went on her first tour of the country and also performed at the FOMO festival.

The 34-year-old American singer was announced as the headline act for Splendor 2023 last week, with other artists to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
