Ellie Goulding has revealed that she struggles with anxiety so acute it leaves her feeling “numb”.
The English singer tells in this week’s issue of star magazine who delights in the rare moments when he doesn’t panic.
“I have so much chronic anxiety that in the rare moments when I don’t have anxiety, I feel so happy and full of joy that I don’t,” the 35-year-old said.

The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker says she finds solace and inspiration in music.
‘If I’m in an anxious state, I don’t feel things. I get numb to everything,’ she explained.
“But art can bring something positive out of you, especially if you rediscover an artist you love.”

‘This year has also been the hardest of my life. I have struggled day, night, hour by hour with a kind of panic that I didn’t even know existed,” he told fans of him.
“While the moments of being on stage in front of all of you have been some of the most exhilarating and calming, this year I’ve been struggling.”
She continued: ‘If I were to really think about it, my anxiety has dictated so much of my life and career, and I feel sad about it.

Ellie ended her post by urging others who might feel the same way to speak to those around them, saying she believes 2022 will be a “bright” and “positive” year.
