‘Poolside Karen’ filmed hurling racist insults at family claims they attacked her ‘like a swarm of bees’ and later found ‘fake fingernails in her hair’ – and says previously unseen video proves it

The woman dubbed ‘Poolside Karen’ for hurling racist insults at a family enjoying the Fourth of July holiday says the group surrounded her ‘like a swarm of bees’ and that their ‘fake nails’ dug into her during the attack got to her.

In a new conversation with Inside editionBlair Featherman, 49, doubled down on her innocence after her interview with DailyMail.com, sharing new footage that she claims shows she was the victim.

“They came at us like a swarm of bees, it happened very quickly,” Featherman said at the new meeting, adding that the group allegedly stole her phone while she was filming.

The woman also said she later discovered false fingernails that had been ‘torn off’ in her hair when the group of alleged ‘pool hoppers’ swung towards her.

The incident took place at an upscale apartment complex in Lakewood, Colorado, where the pool is gated and open only to residents.

In Featherman’s viral video, she is seen calling the members of the Hispanic family at the pool “trash” and “low-class slime.”

Featherman shared the new video from her phone to the outlet, claiming the clips show the attack she endured.

In the video, her legs are seen flying back as she lies on a pool chair as a large group surrounds her.

β€œFirst I was pushed by a man, and then the women jumped on me,” she said.

“That’s abuse, that’s abuse,” the recording says.

According to reports, the incident started after she and her boyfriend approached a group she saw entering the pool and did not recognize.

β€œWe saw a party on the other side of the pool and it got bigger and bigger and bigger,” Featherman said. The sharing complex had a problem with non-residents coming in and staying ‘all day’.

The woman told Inside Edition that she and her friend asked to see the group’s key fobs and that after they refused, she told her friend to “call security.”

It was after that moment that she was walking back to her lounge chair where the alleged attack took place when the party goers ran towards her.

β€œI was literally curled up in a ball trying to do as much as I could to keep them from getting close to me,” Featherman said.

The “Poolside Karen” added that she may have “pulled a girl’s hair” and “poked a few eyes,” but that it was in self-defense because she “had four women on top of her.”

Featherman’s boyfriend, Devon Corday, called police and asked officers to immediately report an assault in progress.

As they waited for police to arrive, she said she went to retrieve her phone, and the now infamous interaction fell out.

β€œI’m running around looking for my phone,” Featherman says. β€œ9-1-1 gets called, I see this girl answering me, so I picked it up. But five minutes later I gave it back.”

Despite calling the Latin American family at the center of the story “low-class slime” and “trash,” she claims she is not racist, but she wanted to apologize.

β€œI apologize for saying what I did about the pool party,” she said.

In her interview with DailyMail.com, she claimed that the video taken by the other party and posted online was edited to make her look bad.

β€œI’ve tried to stay silent and not comment on this, but there are things the video doesn’t show,” said art consultant Featherman.

‘I’m not a racist. It has been deceptively edited and put together to tell a story that is not true,” she said in July.

At this point she approaches the woman filming before physically addressing her.

‘You can not do that. You can’t just record me,” Featherman says, before slapping the phone out of the filmmaker’s hands.

Before that, an additional commentary from the app’s voice feature can be heard labeling the woman as “racist Karen,” while an accompanying caption asks social media users to help identify her.

The merged footage then jumps to what is believed to be a few minutes later, with Featherman now being held down by a male member of her own party on one of the poolside loungers.

While this is happening, she continues to berate the family for their presence.

Several people begin to surround the woman and argue, as she continues to shout while trying to confront the now angry group.

When asked by one of the victims to leave the pool herself, she is heard answering that she lives in Lakewood, the affluent suburb where the complex is located.

At one point she is heard saying angrily to the family, who had been having a pool party, “I live here, where you never came from, you damned low-class slime.”
