Police break into bodybuilder Yakiboy’s gym and arrest him for a wild brawl on a busy Sydney street
A famous Australian bodybuilder has been arrested for a wild brawl on a busy Sydney street.
Hossein ‘Yakiboy’ Balapour, who has more than 350,000 followers, was arrested by NSW Police Raptor Squad officers just before 7am on Friday, who broke into the floor of a gym in his block of Rosebury units.
The 33-year-old man allegedly got into a fight with Marven Yacoub on a Roseberry street on Sunday, January 15.
Balapour had been out on bail on a separate assault charge at the time of the incident and has been charged with brawling, use of offensive weapons with intent to commit an indictable offense and breach of bail.
He is expected to face Downing Center Local Court later on Friday.
Hossein ‘Yakiboy’ Balapour (right in gray top) appeared to go after fellow bodybuilder Marven Yacoub (center in black jersey) during a fight last week.
It’s unclear what sparked the fight, with Balapour and Yacoub (pictured together in 2019) standing next to the group of men before the fight began.
‘Yakiboy’, known to his family as Hossein Balapour, is a self-described Iranian refugee who left the Middle Eastern country to live a better life in Australia.
