Police sound the alarm about weird note being delivered to Sydney homes that many are taking seriously

Dozens of Sydney families have woken up to a disturbing note hand-delivered to their homes.

The unnerving note, which was left in letterboxes across Western Sydney all week, urged residents not to travel to the city.

‘Warning, 8 Nov 24. Stay out of Sydney CBD. Stay safe, stay home,” it read.

Many residents have raised concerns about community groups after receiving the letter. Many took the letter seriously and spread the news on social media.

‘I received this in my mailbox. Does anyone else have? Does anyone know what it’s about,’ asked a terrified mother.

“I don’t know where it came from, but I’m staying home with my kids anyway and thought I’d share it with my fellow moms because whatever this is, we need our babies to be protected.”

In response to the panic, NSW Police have reassured Australians not to take the threats seriously.

‘The police are aware of the messages on social media and the material that is being publicly distributed.

“There is no credible information to support these claims, and the information has been assessed as unfounded and without merit.”
