Police officer, 31, is stabbed in the face
A police officer was stabbed in the face.
The officer was called to a house in Anna Bay near Port Stephens in New South Wales at about 8:25am on Friday, where they found a man and a woman inside.
The man, 42, then allegedly stabbed the officer, 31, with a narrow metal instrument.

The officer was taken to John Hunter Hospital with non-life-threatening facial injuries.
The 42-year-old man was arrested and taken to Materziekenhuis for examination.
After being released from hospital, he was taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station where he was charged with seven felonies, including wounding a police officer, assault and possession of drugs.
He was refused bail and will appear in Newcastle’s local court on Saturday.
