A man has been hit and killed by a passing vehicle after a police chase north of Byron Bay.

The man did not stop north of the iconic seaside town when police tried to stop him around 5:40 p.m. Thursday for his driving style.

Road spikes were deployed at Cudgera Creek, north of Byron Bay, causing the car’s tires to leak, but that didn’t stop him as the man drove another three miles before coming to a stop at Clothiers Creek.
