‘Up to five dead’ and more than 20 people injured in shooting at Sweet 16 party at Alabama dance studio

At least five people are believed to have died following a mass shooting at a Sweet 16 birthday party in a small Alabama town.
The shooting took place at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mahogany Masterpiece dance studio in Dadeville, Alabama, and most of the victims are believed to be teenagers.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and people running and screaming from the building on N. Broadnax Street.
The Tallapoosa County Coroner has confirmed people died in the shooting, but did not confirm how many, according to ABC33.
A disturbing photo appears to show at least six people lying on the ground following the shooting at the location.
It is unclear whether police have made any arrests. More than 20 injured people were transported for medical attention to local hospitals, including Russell Medical Center in Alexander City.

A large crowd was seen outside the emergency room in Dadeville as the victims stormed in.
Details about the suspects or motives have not yet been released by the authorities.
Dadeville is a town of just 3,000 residents and is located about 60 miles outside of the state capital, Montgomery.
