Police arrest woman after female prison officer was filmed having sex with inmate in Wandsworth jail cell

Police have arrested a woman after a female prison officer was filmed having sex with a prisoner in a cell at HMP Wandsworth prison.

The suspect is being held on suspicion of misconduct in public office after police arrested her yesterday.

It comes after footage emerged of a prison officer having sex with an inmate in his prison cell.

The woman in the video, who MailOnline revealed was a swinger named Linda De Sousa Abreu, can be seen wearing a uniform during the explicit clip, which begins with her performing a sex act with an unknown inmate in the category A prison in south-west London.

The footage, which MailOnline understands is recent, then shows her having sex with the prisoner while his cellmate films on a mobile phone. Footage from the cell shows a TV and piles of clothing stacked across a bunk bed.

The friend who smokes during the recording says, ‘Guys, we made history, this is what I’m telling you.’

The prison guard’s radio, which is on a side table, crackles constantly. Her colleagues on the other channels can be heard above the noise of the other prisoners on the landing, who are unaware of what is happening in the cell.

At one point someone appears to try to enter the cell, at which point the man filming can be heard saying to the person on the other side of the door, “Give me a minute, a second.”

The prisoner filming tells his friend to keep going, then turns the camera around briefly and says with a grin: ‘This is how we roll in Wandsworth.’

Then he says to his friend who is having sex: ‘You know you’re a gangster!’

MailOnline revealed on Friday that the woman in the video was De Sousa Abreu, who is believed to have recently quit her job as a prison officer at the south London jail following the scandal.

Her sister Andreina said last night that she had warned her not to combine her lifestyle with her work and that she is now ‘suffering the consequences’.

She said Linda and her husband Nathan were the stars of Channel 4’s Open House: The Great Sex Experiment in which couples pushed the boundaries of their relationships in a luxury country holiday. It aired last year.

And her brother, a personal trainer from London, told MailOnline tonight how she had to block her sister’s fans from her own social media after the racy show. Linda is also said to have an explicit OnlyFans account.

Andreina said: ‘She’s a swinger. She was on a Channel Four program called Open House. I’ve never seen it. It’s not something I would watch with my little sister in it.

“I built a big community on my own social media—I preach fitness and God—but when her fans found her, they found me and started messaging me. I blocked everyone because I didn’t want to be associated with that.”

Her sister said she only found out earlier this year that Linda worked for the prison and the couple had a heart-to-heart.

She explained: ‘I had my say with her, I was very brutally honest with her about her behaviour. I spoke to her earlier about her lifestyle.

“All I can say is that I am a great believer in God and that Linda has given herself 100 percent of herself to the wrong lifestyle, and now she is unfortunately suffering the consequences, which have affected her husband, our parents and myself.

‘I have nothing bad to say about my sister, other than the fact that I was wary of the lifestyle she led and I knew it would lead her down a very horrible path, which I warned her about.

‘As her older sister, the only thing I hold against her is that I should have been more thorough and strict, but hey, everyone chooses their own path.

“I only found out in January that she worked at the prison. Then I spoke to her and said: don’t combine your lifestyle with work. Don’t be stupid, don’t do stupid things.”

Vanessa Frake, former head of security at Wormwood Scrubs, yesterday called the images ‘shocking’.

She told MailOnline: ‘This is what is completely wrong with the prison sector today!

“This woman is not only disgracing herself, the uniform and the prison.”

A prison service spokesman said on Friday: ‘Staff corruption will not be tolerated and the former prison officer allegedly seen in this video has been reported to police.

“It would be inappropriate to comment further while they investigate.”

The Met Police said: ‘We have been made aware of a video allegedly filmed at HMP Wandsworth.

‘A police investigation is underway. No arrests have been made at this early stage. We are in close contact with the Ministry of Justice.’

Ian Acheson, a former prison governor, said the images raised serious security concerns.

“If these images are authentic, and I have been assured they are, the problems facing a likely new Labor government go well beyond overcrowding,” he told MailOnline.

“This is a national law enforcement agency. The idea that recruits would even think about it, let alone participate in sexual acts, is a stunning indictment of the total chaos in this prison. This will not be an isolated incident.

‘The state is no longer in charge here. The security implications and the threat of corruption are clear and as explicit as the egregious acts. The widespread infiltration of illegal mobile phones will result in these images being seen by large numbers of prisoners.

“How can decent female officers feel safe to do their jobs in an environment where colleagues willingly participate in their sexual humiliation and exploitation?”
