Police arrest six in shocking LA Nike store ‘flash robbery’ after suspects caught red-handed with burglary tools and $30,000 worth of stolen merchandise

Police have arrested six suspects in connection with a shocking ‘flash robbery’ at a Los Angeles Nike store after the suspects were caught in the act with burglary tools and $30,000 in stolen merchandise.
The thieves, whose identities have not been released, were apprehended last week after their SUV was pulled over by Los Angeles Police Department officers. KTLA News reported.
During the search, the police found several bags full of stolen Nike sneakers.
The brutal robbery took place at around 5:30 p.m. on August 13 at the Nike Store in East Los Angeles at 4585 Whitier Boulevard. Surveillance footage shows three people entering the store and walking out shortly afterwards with garbage bags filled with the stolen footwear.
On the same day, officers riding e-bikes arrested two other suspects at the Americana at Brand Mall in Glendale in a separate incident, The New York Post reported.

The brutal robbery took place at around 5:30 p.m. on August 13 at the Nike Store in East Los Angeles at 4585 Whitier Boulevard
The suspects in that arrest were identified as Memory Yearby, 26, and Reality Leavens, 18, of Washington state, police said, according to the news outlet.
Officials said both were charged with receiving stolen property and possessing burglary tools.
On August 8, another flash mob break-in occurred, this time in Yves Saint Laurent, where a mob of at least 30 thugs entered the store and stole $400,000 worth of merchandise.
The incident was caught on camera by numerous bystanders sending shockwaves through the Glendale community.
Ivan Issac Ramirez, 23, from Los Angeles, was one of the suspects detained by police. On Thursday, he was charged with burglary, grand larceny, organized shoplifting and conspiracy.
His alleged partner Brianna Jimenez, also from LA, has not yet been apprehended and a warrant has been issued for her arrest.
Many stores in Los Angeles County are the target of these flash mob robberies. Officials said the suspects will flood the stores, overwhelm employees and guards, then grab as much items as they can before fleeing.
Many of these stores are high-end retailers, and their thefts exceed $100,000, KTLA reported.
