Police have charged a suspect who drove a truck into the White House security barriers with multiple crimes, including killing, kidnapping or harming the president, vice president or a family member.
QUSA9 reported that the man who drove his U-Haul truck into the White House security gate on Monday night faces five charges.
There were no injuries after the accident around 10 p.m. The truck was quickly deemed safe by the DC Police Department. Inspection revealed what appeared to be a Nazi flag in the truck.
The name of the driver or details of the incident were not released in the immediate aftermath.
Authorities found a Nazi flag complete with a large swastika in the truck. Footage from a local photojournalist shows a law enforcement officer folding the flag, which was spread out on the ground for the public to see.
The Secret Service confirmed that the U.S. Park Police will press charges with the support of the Secret Service.

A driver was arrested Monday evening after driving into barricades at the White House
“There were no injuries to Secret Service or White House personnel, and the cause and manner of the crash are still under investigation,” Secret Service communications chief Anthony Guglielmi wrote on Twitter.
“The driver may have deliberately hit the safety barriers,” he added in a second tweet, announcing that the truck was considered safe.
Some roads and sidewalks around Lafayette Square, where the driver crashed, were temporarily closed on site for inspection.
The Washington Post also reported that the nearby Hay Adams hotel had been evacuated at the request of the Secret Service.
After the first collision, the driver of the truck hit the guardrail for the second time. Video footage of the incident showed the driver continuing to try to move forward after the initial accident.

The Secret Service released the following statement on Monday night:
Shortly before 10 p.m. Monday, officers from the Secret Service’s Uniformed Division arrested the driver of a box truck after the vehicle collided with security barriers on the north side of Lafayette Square at 16th Street.
No Secret Service or White House personnel were injured and the cause and manner of the crash are still under investigation. Road closures are in effect and footpaths have been closed during our investigation.”
President Biden was at the White House at the time of the incident, though the property is one of the most secure in the world, with numerous security features to keep intruders out.
