Pokémon Go ‘Glittering Garden’ event guide

pokemon go‘Glittering Garden’ event runs from August 5-8 and contains grass-type Pokémon and promotes visits to parks during the event period.

The event reduces the distance you have to walk with your buddy to earn hearts, increases the chance to find XL candies with your buddy, and increases the spawn candy and stardust by 150%.

The event also introduces shiny Petilil and Lilligantby adding them to the game’s shiny roster.

Specifically, there are a number of Pokémon that will spawn more often in parks depending on the day:

  • August 5: Petilil
  • August 6: Cacnea
  • August 7: Foreign
  • August the 8th: Seed

In addition to these bonuses, there are the usual things that come with events, including Timed Research, Field Research, and special spawns, which you can see below.

  • Explore 5 km (meeting with Petilil)
  • Hatch 2 eggs (Galarian Weezing encounter)
  • Spin 25 PokéStops or gyms (Aromatisse encounter)
  • Catch 50 grass-type Pokémon (encounter with Alolan Exeggutor)
  • Earn 15 hearts with your buddy (meeting with Fomantis)

Rewards: 50 Venusaur Mega Energy, 50 Beedrill Mega Energy, 50 Pinsir Mega Energy

  • Catch 10 Grass-type Pokémon (Encounter Tangela, Roselia, or Foongus)
  • Catch 5 different types of Pokémon (encounter with Petilil)
  • Earn 3 candies while exploring with your buddy (25 Venusaur, Sceptile or Abomasnow Mega Energy)
