Pokémon Go ‘A Shadowy Disturbance’ Special Research quest steps, rewards

“A Shadowy Malfunction” is Giovanni’s latest research assignment in pokemon go.

It will debut at the end of June 2023 as part of the “Solstice Horizons” event and will conclude with an encounter and opportunity to Shadow Regirock.

“A Shadowy Disturbance” is part of a long line of investigative missions by Giovanni, which began in 2019 with “A Troubling Situation”. If “From the Shadows” doesn’t appear for you, first clear the most recent Giovanni quest in your quest log – the previous one was “From the Shadows” from March 2023 – to make sure this new quest becomes available.

The second half of the “Solstice Horizons” event will see a Team Go Rocket Takeover, heralding changes for Eggs and Shadow Pokémon, which will be active until the event ends on June 25 at 8 p.m. local time.
