Pokémon Go ‘7th Anniversary Party’ event guide

pokemon go celebrates its 7th birthday with a huge in-game party ranging from July 6-12with all kinds of valuable bonuses depending on the day.

There are tons of bonuses, but they are spawned per day as follows:

  • 6th of July: Doubled capture XP
  • July 7: doubled Stardust catch
  • 8 July: doubled catch of candy
  • July 9: 19/112 egg hatching distance
  • 10th of July: Friendship level gains doubled
  • July 11: Doubled transfer candy
  • July 12: Doubled evolving XP

In addition to the above bonuses, there is an increased chance of becoming Lucky Friends, a higher chance of getting Lucky Pokémon through trades, and a higher chance of finding a greater number of Gimmighoul Coins from Golden Lure PokéStops.

If you have not purchased the 2021 Kanto Tour Pass, you can also purchase a ticket from the shop that Shiny Mew Masterwork Research for $5.

Pokémon Go ‘7th Anniversary Party’ Timed research and rewards

You can only complete this research set if you pay for the 7th Anniversary Party Timed Research Ticket, available at retail for $1.99. As with other timed research, it will expire and disappear when the event ends on July 12. You can see the steps and rewards below:

  • Hatch 7 Eggs (1 Lucky Egg)
  • Earn 7 candies while walking with your buddy (1 Poffin)
  • Evolve 7 Pokémon (1 Incense)
  • Earn 7,777 XP (1 Premium Battle Pass)
  • Earn 7,777 stardust (1 star piece)

Rewards: 1 encounter with Super Incubator, Pikachu (party hat), 77,777 XP

Spinning PokéStops during the event period can earn you an event-themed research task:

  • Catch 7 different types of Pokémon (encounter Rowlet, Litten, or Popplio)
  • Catch 7 Pokemon (2 Ultra Balls)
  • Earn 7 hearts with your buddy (meeting Turtwig, Chimchar or Piplup)
  • Make 7 curveball throws (encounter Snivy, Tepig, or Oshawott)
  • Make 7 nice throws (25 Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Sceptile, Blaziken or Swampert Mega Energy)
  • Send 7 gifts with a sticker on them (encounter Chespin, Fennekin or Froakie)
  • Spin 7 PokéStops or gyms (encounter Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle)
  • Take 7 snapshots of wild Pokémon (encounter with Treecko, Torchic, or Mudkip)
