A 14-year-old girl has been charged with murder after an alleged stabbing at a caravan park on Queensland’s Fraser Coast.
Emergency services were called to a Big4 Hervey Bay Holiday Park in Point Vernon on Saturday evening after reports of a 24-year-old man having been stabbed.
The man was rushed to hospital in Hervey Bay but died a short time later.
Queensland Police confirmed the 14-year-old girl was arrested nearby and later charged with murder.
She will appear in Hervey Bay Children’s Court on Monday.
Police suspect that the girl and the man knew each other.
Anyone with information that could assist police in their investigation into the alleged murder is asked to come forward.
