PM Modi lauds medal winners at the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised athletes who won medals in various events during the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou.

He praised the lightweight men’s double sculls team for winning India’s first Asian Games medal, a silver.

“The Prime Minister congratulated the incredible duo of Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh and wished to continuously row towards glory, which would represent the spirit and strength of the nation,” a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said.

He also praised shooters Ramita Jindal, Mehuli Ghosh and Ashi Chouksey for clinching the silver medal in the 10m Air Rifle Women’s team event at the Asian Games.
