A plumber pulls a disgusting sausage-sized hairball from a hotel sewer in Perth
A plumber has expressed surprise after removing a sausage-sized hairball from a hotel drain.
Bruce, who runs Drain Cleaning Australia’s YouTube page, shared a video of a recent job where he was tasked with unclogging a shower drain in a Perth hotel.
“Believe it or not, this is a hotel shower,” he says, filming the moldy tiles and pans on a bar of soap full of hair.
“I mean, look at the condition of it, mate. It’s seen better days and it’s probably seen a lot of people.’
He adds, “I think this is the kind of shower experience where you come out a little bit dirtier than when you first dipped your toe in the water.”
He then removes the grate above the drain and slowly lifts it up, revealing the gruesome discovery.
“What the hell is that?” he says, pulling up a tangle of hairball the length of a small toddler.
‘Is that a small dog? Are you kidding me, mate?’
“Okay, there’s a scoop for everything, I’ve never seen a sausage dog in the sewer. Wow, she’s got some weight too, mate.’
“Wow, there must be a thousand people who contributed to this.”
The video, which has been viewed nearly 20,000 times, drew hundreds of comments praising Bruce for his honest work.
Bruce the plumber said the clumped mass of hair reminded him of a sausage dog
“That’s fucking disgusting,” one YouTube viewer wrote. ‘I don’t know how the hotel is still open! You are a hero doing this job!’
“You’re an absolute boss for rescuing that poor, stray, and forgotten sausage dog buddy!” …” joked another fan.
“Bruce, damn legend. There’s nowhere I’d rather be than here, watching you collect that giant hairball from that disgusting shower drain,’ said another.
“The world would be a much better place with more Bruces in it, that’s for sure!” wrote one viewer.
Bruce’s page, which offers a glimpse into “life through the eyes of a plumber,” has nearly 36,000 subscribers.
