Prior to early access MMO survival game The day before, Developer Fntastic has released a social media post in response to scam allegations.
“To our future player who will dive into the game on December 7th,” the studio further wrote Twitter/X“We made this for you so that you will enjoy the game and it will be a party. Together we will continue to improve the game and add content.”
Fntastic continued to address those “who didn't believe in us” and said it accepts any criticism and “holds no grudges against you” before apologizing “for not doing the best marketing and teasers.” It added: “We learn something new and improve ourselves every day.”
The studio then noted some gamers' skepticism surrounding the game, saying: “Please don't accuse us of cheating: that's not true. We didn't take a cent from anyone.” That was also included The day before is not an asset flip, adding: “Our team has worked day and night for five years to make our dream game a reality.”
The post-apocalyptic game was set to release in November, but was delayed last month and will officially launch in early access on Steam tomorrow (December 7).
In addition to news of the delay, Fntastic explained that “this is our first major game, and there may be unforeseen circumstances,” indicating that some issues may be present at release. It said that a “full release will take place when we are confident that this is the best possible version of the game.”
The day before was announced back in 2021 and has since gone through a series of trials and tribulations, including an alleged trademark issue, namely deleted from Steam, as well as several delays that led some to believe the game would never see the light of day.
