Pleasant weather in Delhi after a dust storm, maximum temperature probably 39 degrees
The national capital woke up to pleasant weather on Saturday after witnessing overnight dust storms and rain.
The minimum temperature in Delhi settled at 24.9 degrees Celsius, 0.5 percent lower than the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather bureau predicts thunderstorms with rain during the day.
The city recorded 0.4 mm rain in the last 24 hours and the humidity was 62 percent at 8.30 am, the IMD said.
The maximum temperature is likely to be around 39 degrees Celsius.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the national capital’s air quality index (AQI) was recorded in the ‘poor’ category with a reading of 207 at 9 am.
An AQI between 0-50 is considered “good”, 51-100 “satisfactory”, 101-200 “moderate”, 201-300 “poor”, 301-400 “very poor” and 401-500 “severe”. An AQI above 500 falls into the ‘severe plus’ category.
