PlayStation Plus’ free games for April 2023 include Sackboy and a day-and-date launch

The free games from PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers for April are Meet your maker, Sackboy: a great adventure, And Iron tailsSony announced Wednesday. Players will be able to download them starting Tuesday, April 4.

Meet your maker, through behavior interactive, is a daily launch on PlayStation Plus Essential (it will also launch on Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on April 4). The game is a first-person shooter with base building and heist elements. Players fortify their outposts and set fiendish traps in them, then set out to invade other players’ bases in a post-apocalyptic landscape.

Sackboy: a great adventure is a platforming spin-off of LittleBigPlanet that launched in 2020. Developed by Sumo Digital, the game stars the adorable knitted anthropomorphic hacky-sack hero of the Little big planet series in a true 3D platform landscape (as opposed to the 2.5D side-scrolling format for which the main series is known).

Iron tails is a role-playing game in which players take control of Redgi, heir to the Rat Throne, who must restore their kingdom by defeating the evil Frog Clan. Odd Bug Studio’s hand-drawn adventure launching in 2021 (with versions also available on Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X).

PlayStation Plus subscribers can still pick up March’s Essential level games – Battlefield 2042, Minecraft dungeons, And Code vein – until April 3.
