Welcome to Teamsheet… Mail Sport’s football memory game that will have you scratching your head trying to remember the starts of teams from years gone by.

On New Year’s Day we challenged you to remember a Tottenham team that thumped Fulham. Unfortunately for Spurs fans, today we want you to mention the Newcastle side who beat them 7-1 in 1996 ahead of their clash on Saturday.

Three home players scored braces and it almost became 7-0, but a late consolation did its best to spare any bushwhacking.

HOW TO PLAY

The aim of the game is to score as few points possible!

If you guess a player on the first try, you score one point – i.e. the lowest score for guessing each player on the first try is 11.

Guess a correct letter in the correct position and it turns green. Guess a correct letter, but in the wrong position, and it turns yellow.

You have six guesses for each player – and if you fail, we reveal their identity for 11 points! You can also ask for a free letter, but it will cost you a point.

So play on to see if you can score the best possible total of 11 – or fail with each player and score 121.
