PLAY TEAMSHEET: Can YOU name the Chelsea team from Jose Mourinho’s very first game in charge of the club?

Today’s team overview may be of interest to Chelsea fans as we go back to 2004 and Jose Mourinho’s first game in charge of the Blues during his first spell at the club.

Chelsea had no way of knowing at the time what they would achieve under Roman Abramovich, and Mourinho was the man at the front of the operation in the early days. He would win three Premier League titles in two spells with Chelsea, as well as the FA Cup and two League Cups.

But we want to know if you remember the team from its very first game in charge: a 1-0 win over Manchester United. It’s just for fun, so see how you get on and share your Teamsheet score… full instructions on how to play are at the bottom of the article and in the game itself – and make sure you come back tomorrow!

Good luck!

HOW TO PLAY

The aim of the game is to score as few points possible!

If you guess a player on the first try, you score one point – i.e. the lowest score for guessing each player on the first try is 11.

Guess a correct letter in the correct position and it turns green. Guess a correct letter, but in the wrong position, and it turns yellow.

You have six guesses for each player – and if you fail, we reveal their identity for 11 points! You can also ask for a free letter, but it will cost you a point.

So play on to see if you can score the best possible total of 11 – or fail with each player and score 121.
