Plastic surgeon reveals secrets of celebrities who have undergone sudden, light-up transformations

Hollywood loves a comeback story.

Now, plastic surgeons have revealed the secrets of the celebrities who have had the biggest booms in recent years (despite many being in the latter part of their careers).

After being mocked over plastic surgery rumors in January 2021, Demi Moore, 62, was widely praised for her age-defying and wrinkle-free look at the Golden Globes this month – where she won best actress in a motion picture.

Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan, 38, turned heads in late November after unveiling her age-defying and youthful new look on the red carpet Los Angeles after years of unflattering reporting about her battle with drug addiction.

And Kristen Wiig, 51, made waves after debuting her “revamped” look on Saturday Night Live — after years of expanding her resume beyond comedy.

Dr. Anthony Youn, who lives in New York City, also praised Christina Aguilera, 44, for her transformation – after the star returned to the stage for a Las Vegas residency last year.

And it doesn’t just apply to them: plastic surgeons have previously praised young celebrities such as Sabrina Carpenter (25) and Bad Bunny (30) for their new looks.

Dr. Youn said he thinks the celebrities have done subtle cosmetic work that doesn’t “shout,” but rather “whispers.”

Lindsay Lohan pictured left in Mean Girls in 2004 and right after stepping out for the launch of her new rom-com in Los Angeles 20 years later. Surgeons suggest she has had lip filler and a nose job. Some also claim that she may have had upper eyelid surgery to remove the skin above her eyes. Her father has previously said she had Botox, filler and peels

Plastic surgeons suggest the star has had a nose job and filler in her cheeks and lips. Some suggest she may have also undergone upper eyelid surgery. Carpenter has not commented on any alleged surgery

“There’s a huge buzz on social media about certain celebrities suddenly looking fantastic,” he said in introducing his video.

“Yes, we’re talking about you, Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aguilera and Demi Moore.”

Dr. Youn said celebrities who reinvented their looks were likely to have had an upper blepharoplasty or upper blepharoplasty.

He didn’t say who had the surgery, but it’s rumored that all three celebrities in his video went under the knife for it.

Plastic surgeons have previously speculated to DailyMail.com that both Lindsay and Christina have undergone work on their upper eyelids. Others have also suggested that Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift and close friend Blake Lively have undergone the procedure.

This surgery, which costs from $10,000, removes the skin from the area above the eyes to open them up and give them a more youthful appearance.

And the hour-long operation leaves no visible scar, with surgeons making incisions in the crease of the eye.

Dr. Youn said: ‘The operation can be performed in such a way that the change is so subtle.

“But (also) such a change that the upper eyelids can look the same as they did when the person was in their 20s.”

All four celebrities have denied having upper eyelid surgery or have not responded to the allegations.

Demi, pictured in January 2021 (left) and last October (right), has long been known for maintaining her youthful looks. Surgeons suggest she may have undergone laser skin resurfacing or a chemical peel to achieve her smooth skin. Some surgeons suggest she may have had a facelift

Kristen Wiig, 51, is seen above in 2013 (left) and again last April (right). Some surgeons have suggested she had a facelift, but others also say the transformation could be partly due to the makeup and lighting. Kristen has not responded to the allegations

The other major operation that Dr. Youn mentioned was a lower facelift, or a facelift of the lower third of the face.

Again, he didn’t say exactly which celebrity he believes has undergone the procedure, but all three celebrities he mentioned in the introduction – Lindsay, Christina and Demi – have previously been accused of having some form of facelift.

Surgeons have also previously claimed that 30-year-old Bad Bunny has undergone a deep facelift – which involves lifting and repositioning deep layers of facial tissue – and that Kristen Wiig has undergone a facelift.

A facelift surgery costing $3,500 to $20,000 involves lifting the skin in this area, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Typically performed on men and women between the ages of 40 and 70, some surgeons have reported in recent years that people in their 30s have signed up for the procedure.

Some surgeons are urging people in their 30s to have the surgery, saying it can produce better results at this age because the skin is more elastic.

None of the celebrities have confirmed that they had the surgery, or denied that they had a facelift.

During the ten-minute video, Dr. Youn spends eight minutes discussing the different skin treatments celebrities are likely to use.

These include xeomin, a Botox-like agent designed to treat frown lines and lasts up to six months, and a morpheus8 treatment, which uses radiofrequency energy and micro-needling to tighten the skin, reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture to improve.

He also suggested that many celebrities use Ozempic or a similar weight-loss injection to make themselves appear more youthful.

Lindsay has previously said that she uses morpheus8 and IPL, or intense pulse light, which is great for evening out skin and removing unwanted spots and pigment.

Christina has previously said she’s a “huge fan” of moisturizers, while Demi has said she uses an $800 cream full of peptides on her face.

Plastic surgeons previously told DailyMail.com that Aguilera likely underwent a facelift to sculpt her cheekbones and smooth out the lines between her nose and lips. She probably also had filler done there, as well as on her lips. There are also suggestions that she has taken a weight loss drug such as Ozempic, although she denies this

One of the most dramatic celebrity transformations to debut in recent years is probably that of Bad Bunny (pictured). At 30, plastic surgeons say the rapper may have had filler in his lips and jawline to enhance his facial features, as well as a nose job

Overtime, men gain about 5.7 pounds every decade — he said — while women gain about 12 pounds per decade.

Losing weight can help reverse these age-related changes, Dr. Youn said, and make a celebrity look more like their youthful self.

Christina Aguilera, 44, was previously accused of taking weight-loss drugs after she had a much thinner frame last year.

However, she denied the suggestion, telling reporters: “I’m an adult now and I don’t care about your opinion.”
