Plastic surgeon known for his work on the Kardashians and Playboy models reveals why you cannot imitate a flawless celebrity look with surgery: ‘That’s not going to happen’

The famous plastic surgeon behind the Kardashian family has given a reality check to people looking to achieve an A-list celebrity look through surgery.

Appears on The face with Alex Pike podcast said Dr. Garth Fisher that social media platforms like Instagram have given people a distorted sense of beauty

“Instagram came along and then you see all these filters and it’s just not realistic,” he explained.

‘And you can’t capitalize on that and say, “I’m going to make you look like this filter” – that’s just not going to happen.’

Dr. Fisher emphasized the importance of letting potential patients know that they won’t be able to achieve a filtered social media aesthetic in real life.

“It is our responsibility to dictate what is needed, what is appropriate and what the options are, and to be honest with our patients.”

The burly surgeon also said he has no problem turning patients away if he can’t deliver what they’re looking for.

“There are different ideas about what patients want and if I don’t reflect that, and I don’t think I can (or won’t) deliver what they want, then I just remove myself from the picture,” he said.

‘I like modest, I don’t want people to look like they’ve had plastic surgery.’

Dr. Fisher is one of the best-known plastic surgeons in Hollywood and was once dubbed ‘The Enhancer’ in Vanity Fair magazine.

He even gave pre-transition Caitlyn Jenner an overhaul facelift, which was also featured on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

“Garth Fisher is a genius,” Jenner said after the procedure. “No one really knows I had anything done!”

Dr. Fisher also helped actress and reality star Lisa Rinna achieve a more natural pout after having permanent silicone lip fillers in the late ’80s.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Fisher was Hugh Hefner’s favorite surgeon and often performed breast enlargements on Playboy’s many models, centerfolds and bunnies.

Khloe was ridiculed in 2020 after posting what appeared to be a heavily airbrushed selfie on Instagram.

In 2016, the Good American founder openly admitted that she used editing tools to enhance some of her photos on social media.

“Of course I believe in airbrush apps, I just think about airbrush apps, like who doesn’t want to airbrush something here or there,” she told People magazine.

‘I love FaceTune, it’s great. I don’t really know many of them anymore, but a filter is just like airbrushing. Who doesn’t love a good filter? Sometimes you have a bad day.’

In February, Khloé was sensationally accused of face-tuning her Russian Blue cat after fans noticed the cat’s changed facial features.

The 39-year-old star, who – along with her famous family – has previously been caught editing photos, posted a photo of her pet Gray Kitty to celebrate Valentine’s Day, but her followers were quick to point out the ‘blurred’ whiskers and the cat’s different eye color.

One fan wrote, “Even the pets aren’t safe,” and a second typed, “Even the cat had a job done.”

Last year, the airbrush app FaceTune made a joke about Kim and sister Kylie Jenner by commenting on one of their photos and writing: ‘can they tag me please LOL’.

Other reality stars accused of doctoring their photos include Patti Stanger and Sister Wives star Meri Brown.

Sandra “Pepa” Denton of the 90s group Salt-N-Pepa was also accused of editing some of her recent selfies.

In one image, the 57-year-old’s face had a hazy glow that seemed to mask some of her naturally beautiful features.

‘Too many filters… smh. You can barely see her nose,” said one fan.

‘They almost completely erased her nose from view. She’s beautiful, but the editing is driving you crazy!’ wrote another.
