Pizza delivery worker stabs pregnant customer 14 times over lousy tip

A pizza delivery man has been accused of pushing his way into a motel room with an accomplice and stabbing a pregnant woman in front of her five-year-old daughter after an argument over a worthless tip.

Brianna Alvelo, 22, was accused of stabbing the woman in her motel room in Kissimmee, Florida, shortly after delivering a pizza to her on Sunday, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman gave Alvelo $50 on a $33.10 bill, expecting to get $16.90 in change back.

As Alvelo walked away, the woman asked for a refund, but the pizza delivery person told her they didn’t have change on them as a company policy, according to an arrest report.

The woman began searching for smaller denominations in two purses in her motel room and in her car as Alvelo watched.

She received a smaller dollar bill from her boyfriend, with whom she was staying at the motel along with her five-year-old daughter.

It meant that Alvelo’s tip ended up being $2. Alvelo “rolled her eyes and walked away without saying anything,” the report said WESH said.

A short time later, the woman, her boyfriend and daughter were sleeping when they heard a knock on the door of the Riviera Motel.

Upon opening the door, they were confronted by a woman, who authorities said was Alvelo, and an armed man, both wearing face masks, forcing their way into the room.

The armed man ordered the boyfriend to go to the bathroom.

Alvelo searched their belongings in the motel room and then stabbed the woman 14 times with a pocket knife while protecting her daughter, the arrest report states.

The report details how the woman was stabbed in the chest, arms, legs and abdomen.

The two masked criminals ran out of the motel along with some stolen items.

Documents show the victim tried to grab her phone, but Alvelo took it and destroyed it. The victim was said to be covered in blood and terrified.

Alvelo is charged with attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping and aggravated assault with a weapon.

The car Alvelo used to deliver the pizza from Marcos Pizza Shop appeared on camera to be the same one used in the motel room invasion.

The pizzeria later confirmed that Alvelo had delivered pizzas for them that evening.

Alvelo is charged with attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping and aggravated assault with a weapon.

Before Thursday’s hearing, she said in court filings that she could not afford a lawyer and asked that one be appointed for her.

Authorities have not yet publicly identified the male suspect.
