Pixar’s newest movie looks like a reverse Lilo and Stitch

Pixar’s latest movie is Elio, an intergalactic adventure that has it all Lilo and Stitch mood. Other way around. Instead of an alien alien crash-landing on Earth, an imaginative young boy is beamed into a large alien-filled conference meeting after being mistaken for Earth’s leader.

In the first trailer for Elio, we see exactly how this happens – it turns out that the boy calls his scientist mom just as she gets contact from aliens, and something goes very wrong with the transmission. Elio is beamed up and apparently has to undergo some sort of trial as a representative for Earth. oops!

Elio, the character, is played by Yonas Kibreab, who previously played Finn Fox in Netflix’s Sweet tooth. His mother Olga is played by America Ferrera (How to train your dragon). Jameela Jamil (The good place) and Brad Garrett (Everyone loves Raymond).

Eliothe film, comes from Adrian Molina, who previously wrote and co-directed Coco. The film will hit theaters on March 1, 2024.
