Pirelli Calendar 2024: Naomi Campbell makes her FIFTH appearance in the annual shoot as she poses alongside Idris Elba and Angela Bassett for the Timelessness theme shoot in London and Ghana
The highly anticipated Pirelli calendar has been unveiled, with Naomi Campbell, Idris Elba, Angela Bassett and Amanda Gorman at the helm.
Captured by self-taught visual artist Prince Gyasi, the shoot took place in both London and Ghana, the photographer’s hometown, and focuses on the calendar’s theme of ‘timelessness’.
Naomi, 53, looked stunning in a shot focused on her endless legs as she posed in a studio looking stunning for the 50th calendar.
The performance is her fifth appearance on the iconic calendar, having appeared in 1987, 1995, 2005 and 2018 alongside a host of other stars. She caused quite a stir during her performance in 1987 when she was just 16 and went topless during the shoot.
Other talent featured in the 2024 Pirelli calendar includes King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on the calendar for the year that marks the 25th anniversary of the Ashanti Kingdom under the reign of King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Speaking on the theme, Prince Gyasi said: ‘I called it ‘Timeless’ because most of these people defy time. They were able to reach certain heights and open doors for people like me to come in.”
He went on to say that he wanted “Timeless” to be “empowering” for his subjects, and for other African people: “We have been given the platform to make sure our voices are heard…
“We are taking the opportunity to give new direction to what people have heard over the years: their interpretations of our culture, traditions, what we believe in, who we are as a people. (I) try to change the story’.
The calendar was first released in 1964 and caused a stir when full nudity was first shown nine years later. After being sold out for a decade due to financial constraints, Pirelli returned in 1984 with a bang – sexier than ever before.
The Italian tire company first signaled a change of direction with its 2017 calendars, announcing it was “tearing up the rule book” and giving the much-anticipated calendar another feminist overhaul.
The spread featured Robin Wright, Julianne Moore, Charlotte Rampling and Helen Mirren (aged 50, 55, 70 and 71 respectively at the time) and was hailed as a triumph for its representation of older women.
The 2024 calendar marks the first black photographer ever selected for commission.
Previous editions have featured the biggest names in fashion, music and acting, including ‘big five’ supermodels Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Naomi.
They were photographed by photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Nick Knight and Annie Leibovitz.
