Pip Edwards reveals her surprising profession before founding global fashion brand PE Nation
She is the brains and beauty behind global activewear brand PE Nation.
But before he started the clothing line and became one of Sydney’s most famous socialites, Pip Edwards had a very normal job.
The mother of one, 43, recently appeared on Phoebe Burgess’s Under The Gloss podcast and she revealed that Pip was an account with Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Phoebe introduced her guest and said, “Before Pip co-founded PE Nation, she was an accountant at PWC, has a law degree and was trained in classical music.
“She’s a pianist and she can play the piano very well, but her canon event happened when she left the world of suits and offices to enter the world of fashion.”

After leaving her job at PWC, Pip started her fashion career in Ksubi, where she met Dan Single, the father of her son Justice, 17.
She then worked as an accessory designer at Sass and Bide before joining streetwear chain General Pants.
In 2016, she co-founded PE Nation with Claire Tregoning, which has become a huge success as it is available in 250 retailers around the world.

Elsewhere in the interview, Pip burst into tears as she had a hot flash, opening up about perimenopause.
“What underlies women is this reproductive situation and I’m having hot flashes right now,” she told Phoebe as she took off her sweatshirt.
This can happen a few times. I get hot and at the moment the burn is big. It’s coming. My back is like I literally ran a huge marathon,” she said.
Pip went on to explain that her flashes can overwhelm her in as little as thirty seconds, and they can be so “weakening” that they often make her want to cry.
Elsewhere in the interview, Pip burst into tears while having a hot flash when she opened up about perimenopause.
“It’s so crazy because all my life I’ve had this mindset to conquer anything. I’ve never worried about my body,” she said.
“I never thought my body would wear me down or hold me back.”
Menopause is the natural time in a woman’s life when she has gone twelve months without a period.
The term perimenopause refers to the transition phase to menopause and can be accompanied by symptoms such as an irregular menstrual cycle, hot flashes, reduced fertility and sleeping problems.
Pip went on to explain that her flashes can overwhelm her in as little as thirty seconds, and they can be so “weakening” that they often make her want to cry.
