The 47-year-old former motocross racer took to Instagram on Thursday to document his physical recovery after undergoing spinal fusion surgery in December, while sharing a photo from a home workout and an optimistic message as he faced off against hard momment.
Hart, who is the father of Willow, 11, and Jameson, six, with the Grammy-winning artist, 43, said last month that an infection he had caused a catheter to be placed in his chest.
“Chest tube baby,” the Seal Beach, California native captioned the shot, in which he wore black shorts with black gloves and worked out on a red carpet. ‘My old, infected me is still haunting him.’

Hart explained her medical situation in detail last month, when she posted a trio of images of taking antibiotics from a home medicine cabinet and what her chest looks like with the catheter and wires in place.
He said he found out ‘a couple of days before Christmas’ that he had ‘an infection on some old hardware in [his] body’, leading to a stressful Christmas season.
“I have this tunneled catheter installed in my chest,” Hart said. ‘Now, for the next 41 days, I have to inject myself with antibiotics to knock this fool out.
I can handle a bone sticking out of my skin, but this catheter is definitely stressful. I wonder if I can push a little caffeine through it? It’s a joke.’
Hart, who recently celebrated his 17th anniversary with the Get the Party Started artist, said extensive medical care was not how he wanted to start the new year, but he is “grateful that he found himself and that modern medicine has the tools to deal with it. .’
He ended by saying, ‘It’s going to be a long 6 weeks, but I’ve got this. Coming back better and stronger. Take care everyone and stay healthy!’
Hart took to Instagram on December 1 with a photo of himself in a hospital bed after the surgical procedure.
