Dangerous: Hart previously said he had to have the surgeries because doctors thought he had compression fractured his lower spine “at least 10 or 12 times” during his 30-plus-year motocross career.

His last two operations came after obtaining an M6 disc replacement, a procedure in which an artificial disc is placed in the spine that mimics its natural structure and movement.

Hart previously said he had to have the surgeries because doctors thought he had compression fractured his lower spine “at least 10 or 12 times” during his more than 30-year motocross career.

In 2014, he said Rolling Stone: ‘I have broken everything you can imagine.’

‘I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been lying on the ground, with something broken, with a bone sticking out, just thinking ‘Why the hell am I still doing this?’ But you go to the hospital, you get sutured or put back together, you go home and you heal, and eventually you start to forget about the injury and you start to miss your motorcycle,” he said.

The So What singer credited Hart for his devotion to helping her recover, saying: “He brought me coffee in the shower, lugged my 100-pound CPM gadgets around, dried my tears, cooked me oatmeal, carried a logged my meds, got me my phone charger, plugged in my compression machines, took my temperature, made the bed, and told me about the ledge.

He went on to say that “life always reminds you that most setbacks are really just pauses and opportunities to recalibrate and count your blessings.”

“I am impressed by those who face real and difficult challenges and transform their situation into something magical or meaningful,” she added. ‘It is humbling for a very independent person like me to be physically unable and dependent, even for a couple of months.
