  • The singer celebrated her 44th birthday on Friday and responded on Monday after someone tried to compare her to British comedian Eddie Lizard, 61
  • The post on X, formerly known as Twitter, read “Happy Birthday @Pink” and included a 2022 photo of the comedian
  • Pink also insisted that the troll could have chosen a much ‘worse’ photo to insult her with, instead of choosing Eddie’s photo.

Pink took to social media to blast a troll who used an Eddie Izzard photo to wish her a happy birthday.

The Grammy-winning singer celebrated her 44th birthday on Friday and responded on Monday after someone tried to compare her and the 61-year-old British comedian on social media.

The message read “Happy Birthday @Pink” and included a 2022 photo of the comedian.

On X (formerly Twitter), Pink replied: “Thank you very much. I just showed your post to my 12 year old daughter.

“I explained to her that I’ve never met you, that I don’t know you, and that I have no idea why you would go out of your way to be hateful.

‘It was a good lesson in ignorance. Thank you. I still don’t know you. Congratulations. You are nobody.’

She pointed out that while some “anonymous, lonely” people spew hate on social media, many others are “rad.”

She continued, “These kinds of people are anonymous, lonely and miserable. But most people are smart, good and wonderful.”

Pink also insisted the troll could have chosen a much ‘worse’ photo to insult her with, instead of choosing Eddie’s photo from her performance at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards in July 2022.

She added: ‘Most importantly – what a missed opportunity here.’

“There are so many pictures you could have chosen that were actually mine that were worse than this picture, you nameless bastard. At least be creative next time dum dum.’

Earlier this year, Eddie – who has been using she/her pronouns since 2020 – revealed she added Suzy to her name after wanting the name since she was ten.

During a recording of Matt Forde’s ‘Political Party’ podcast, the comedian and politician said: ‘I’m Eddie. There’s one other name I’m going to add, Suzy, who I’ve wanted to be since I was ten.
