Pink stops show to wish pregnant fan good luck after woman goes into labor at her concert in Australia: ‘You’re gonna do great!’

Grammy-winning singer Pink briefly stopped her concert to share some sweet, encouraging words with a fan who was in labor during her final show in Australia.

After seeing a pregnant woman being wheeled out of her concert by a doctor, the 44-year-old So What hitmaker paused midway through her performance of Our Song to see what was going on.

Once she discovered the concertgoer was having contractions, the mother of two (born Alecia Beth Moore) excitedly tried to find out the gender of the expectant baby.

‘Is it Alicia or Alex who is born? she asked, referring to her birth name, from the stage.

Pink, who admitted she didn’t feel like they had to “watch” anymore, urged the crowd to give the woman some “privacy.”

‘Wow, Our Song, that was the one that did it. I wouldn’t have called them! “I thought it was going to be Get The Party Started or “Never Not Gonna Dance Again,” she said.

The artiste then sweetly congratulated the working mother.

‘That is exciting. I don’t even know what to say. But we have to sing now. Good luck! It will be great! You’re going to do great,” she shouted.

In August, during her concert at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, a fan named Angela Mercer went into labor and later welcomed a son.

Mercer, who was 31 weeks pregnant at the time, traveled with family members all the way from Albany, New York, to attend the Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour stop in Boston, according to a lengthy statement released Aug. 9 by Brigham and Women’s Hospital on its Facebook page.

The post also included photos of Mercer, her newborn son Aycen Hart, and the family members who went with her to the concert and hospital.

The new mom attended the show with her mother Barbara and her sister-in-law Amy. The hospital’s statement also noted that the trip to see Pink perform in Boston doubled as a “girls trip, (to celebrate Barbara’s birthday).”

Unfortunately, the trio wasn’t able to enjoy or see much of the concert because shortly after it started, Angela, according to the statement from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, “went into labor.”

After consulting with her doctors by telephone, Angela, along with her mother and sister-in-law, immediately left Fenway Park (the home baseball arena of the MLB team The Boston Red Sox) to go to the hospital.

However, the trio couldn’t get a ride to the hospital due to all the heavy traffic around Fenway Park for the ‘So What’ singer’s concert.

“(Angela) and her family decided that the fastest way to get to Brigham and Women’s was to walk – and so, decked out in their concert outfits, they made the trek to (Brigham and Women’s Hospital) where Angela later delivered her son at the Brigham’s NICU,” the hospital’s statement on Facebook said.

In the hospital’s lengthy Facebook post announcing news of the arrival of the singer’s newest fan, Angela expressed her and her family’s appreciation to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for their help after she went into premature labor.

“My husband Ace and I are so incredibly grateful to the exceptional team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital! The medical, case management and social work staff confidently guided us with their knowledge and expertise, while being personable, empathetic and committed,” said Angela.

The hospital concluded its statement by saying that the newborn’s arrival on July 31 fell on a special day for Angela’s family: “Aycen was born exactly on his grandmother Barbara’s (Angela’s mother) birthday, and although the family could not During the concert they say that they have received the greatest gift of all: a healthy baby boy.’

Pink and husband Carey Hart, 48, have two children together: 12-year-old daughter Willow and six-year-old son Jameson.
