The artist who sold VASTLY more concert tickets than Taylor Swift in 2024 revealed
The pop star who sold the most concert tickets for performances across Australia in 2024 has been revealed.
Many Australian music fans will be shocked to hear it’s not Taylor Swift, who brought her Eras tour Down Under earlier this year.
In fact, most of the concert sales went to Pink, who brought her Summer Carnival world tour to Australian shores in February.
Pink, real name Alecia Moore, sold out 20 stadiums in the country, shifting more than a million ticket sales and winning the box office victory.
The singer is known for having a devoted Australian fanbase and a long, mutual love affair with the country.
Tour promoter Live Nation said Pink’s dates were “the most performed artists in Australia on a single tour.”

“There is a palpable mutual love affair between the Australasian audience who love to see her perform live, and an artist who clearly loves being here. Congratulations, Alecia, on another stunning record-breaking tour,” Michael Coppel, chairman of Live Nation Australasia, told the Herald Sun.
Taylor Swift and Coldplay also put in huge efforts, with Swift moving about 600,000 tickets, while Coldplay pulled in about 338,000.
Pink was reportedly furious at the amount of press Swift received when both pop stars toured Australia earlier this year.
That’s what Australian singer Sam Fischer claimed during an interview on Nova’s Ricki-Lee, Tim and Joel Earlier this year, Pink was ‘pi**y off’ due to the lack of media attention she received while in the country.
“Did you think that now everyone’s money ends up in very, very few piles,” said host Tim Blackwell.
Sam replied, “Just Taylor Swift…but they need the money, I get it!”
Tim then admitted that he felt ‘sorry’ that Pink was in Australia at the same time as Taylor.
“Pink is here cycling around the Opera House saying, ‘I’m here too!’” he added.

Pink arrived in Australia in February and performed at Sydney’s Accor Stadium before heading to Brisbane and Townsville
“It’s funny that everyone is talking about Beyoncé and Taylor doing the stadium shows, but Pink sells them all here too.”
‘I have a friend who is the backing singer for Pink and my friend Danny said she was actually just mad that no one was talking about the fact that she also sells out stadiums.’

After the enormous success of her tour, the American singer thanked her fans for twenty years of support.
She told how her 2024 tour broke several Australian records, including ticket sales becoming the largest for any tour by a female artist in the country.
Meanwhile, more than 600,000 Swifties attended the Australian leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour in February.
A record 96,000 fans attended each of her three nights in Melbourne and a further 83,000 Swifties flocked to each of her four shows in Sydney.
It comes after fans shared their anger after hearing dozens of tickets were being given away for free to the pop star’s concerts in Sydney.
The tickets – many for first-class seats – were handed out minutes before and even during the show at the Accor Stadium to hopeful fans waiting outside.
Some were given away by Taylor Nation, a fan group known for handing out free concert tickets to Swifties who missed out.
Others were said to have been given away by venue staff and even members of the pop star’s entourage.
