Six people miraculously survived a plane crash Saturday afternoon after the pilot parachuted from the plane near Butler Memorial Airport in Bates County, Missouri.

The plane, a single-engine Cessna C206, crashed in a hay field near the airport outside Kansas City just before 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Bates County Sheriff’s Office said the plane was found just east of the runway.

The pilot was wearing a parachute and was able to eject from the plane before the crash. He was found in a hangar at the airport.

The remaining six passengers were all treated and released at the scene, the report said KCTV5.
