Piers Morgan has criticized Pep Guardiola on social media following the Manchester City boss’ live rant on the BBC.

Immediately after beating Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, Guardiola was interviewed by Gary Lineker on the Wembley pitch.

The Spaniard launched into a lengthy tirade over the scheduling of the match, which came just days after Man City played 120 minutes against Real Madrid.

While many sympathized with Guardiola, whose side played for Man United against Coventry 24 Hours, he was also criticized by some.

One of these is Morgan, a famous Arsenal fan, who criticized Guardiola and accused him of whining.

“Oh, cry me a bloody river, Pep…” Morgan began.

‘You have two world-class players in every position, paid with billions of dollars from the Middle East, but you still whine about too many matches.’

In the tirade Morgan was referring to, Guardiola suggested the scheduling of the match was putting the health of his Man City stars at risk.

“It’s unacceptable,” the city boss said. ‘Because I won, I have the courage to tell you. It is not normal for the health of the players. I don’t understand how we survived today.

‘Why play today and not tomorrow when Coventry, Chelsea and United didn’t play last week?

‘Why not one more day for the health of the players? Tell me how you are preparing for this final against Chelsea for the best moment of the season. How? It’s impossible. There’s no chance.’

Morgan’s side, Arsenal, are currently top of the Premier League. They beat Wolves 2-0 this weekend, leaving Man City, who have a game in hand, behind.

City’s focus is now solely on the Premier League after being knocked out of the Champions League and reaching the FA Cup final.

Liverpool, like Arsenal, will be hoping the reigning champions make a mistake along the way, but on current form Guardiola’s side are heavy favorites to retain their title.
