However, Brosnan’s character was unaware that the real Daniel had overheard his comment with Hillard disguised as Mrs. Doubtfire.
As Brosnan walked away with a tray of drinks, Hillard (Williams) expressed his displeasure by throwing a lime at Brosnan.
After the lime made contact with his head, Hillard blamed a disgruntled kitchen worker.
‘Oh sir! I saw it! An angry member of the kitchen staff, didn’t you tip them? Oh, the terrorist they ran that way, it was a run-by fruition! I’ll get them, sir, don’t worry!’ Williams told a stunned Brosnan.

“Run-by fruiting, it wasn’t in the script,” Brosnan revealed. “I get the beers, I walk back and I think, ‘This is going to take forever to get me on my head.’ The first missed. And the second – is history.’
Brosnan, who played Stu Dunmeyer, a man vying for the affection of Daniel’s ex-wife Miranda Hillard (Sally Field), also revealed that he didn’t see the real Robin until the end of the filming.
Even when he first met his opponent, Robin was devoted to Mrs. Doubtfire’s persona. The actor was going through his transformation during their first interactions.

“I remember going to San Francisco the first day. I went to the makeup trailer and Robin was there with a Hawaiian shirt on, big hairy arms and cargo shorts with hairy legs, but he had Mrs. Doubtfire’s head,’ he recalled.
Robin stayed in character as Mrs. Doubtfire during their initial introductions before finally returning to his true self and introducing himself as Robin.
“I went to work on that film every day, and I always worked with Mrs. Doubtfire. I didn’t meet Robin until the end of the movie,” Pierce said.
