Pierce Brosnan was as attracted to his wife Keely Shaye Smith as ever when she joined him on Wednesday at the New York City premiere of his new DC superhero movie Black Adam.

The 69-year-old former James Bond actor couldn’t keep his hands off the 59-year-old journalist, and the lovebirds – who have been married for 21 years – held hands on the red carpet of AMC Empire 25.

Pierce appears in Black Adam as Kent Nelson, who goes through Doctor Fate as part of the Justice Society of America, a group of superheroes to try to stop the murderous frenzy of the title character, played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The Irish actor looked particularly stylish at the premiere in a shimmering blue velvet tuxedo jacket with peaked lapels.

He dressed up the rest of his ensemble with shiny black pants and patent leather loafers.

The Mamma Mia star completed the ensemble with a luxurious wristwatch with a leather strap, and he wore his salt-and-pepper hair combed back.

Keely looked elegant in a pretty black sequined dress that showed off her legs and her strappy black open-toed heels.

She wore her long dark brown locks parted to the side and cascading over her shoulders, and her large round diamond earrings glistened in the light.

Pierce paused his affectionate displays with his wife to catch up with fellow actor Dwayne Johnson, who was indispensable in a scarlet suit.

The two friends were beaming and shared a hug on the red carpet.

The Thomas Crown Affair star also stopped by to pose with his co-stars Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge and Quintessa Swindle, who play other members of the Justice Society of America.

During an appearance Tuesday on The Tonight Show, Pierce discussed his latest role as Doctor Fate.

“It was the last thing on my mind playing a superhero like Doctor Fate,” he admitted.

The actor laughed as he described the experience of wearing his long-running character’s voluminous costume.

“Everyone wants to know what it was like to put on the costume. What was it like putting on the helmet? You see nothing! It’s dark,’ he said.

He also had kind words for Dwayne, calling him a “beautiful fellow.”

“He’s a bit monolithic and beautiful and owns this role,” he added.
