Stunning images have been unveiled showing P&O Cruises’ new ship Arvia arriving in Southampton ahead of her maiden voyage, and her stunning interior.

The 185,000-tonne, 345m-long (1,131ft) Excel-class ship sets sail today (Friday) for the Canary Islands after docking in Southampton on Sunday, and P&O Cruises Chairman Paul Ludlow describes her as “the latest evolution in P&O”. Cruise experience’.

Arvia features include a swim-up bar, an infinity pool ‘with uninterrupted views of the ship’s wake’ and the first high ropes experience at sea, Altitude Skywalk, with guests choosing two courses while within 54m (177 feet) above the ocean.

Featuring 16 guest decks, Arvia is designed to bring guests even closer to the sea, sky and shoreline, reflecting the meaning of her name. [in Latin] ‘from the seashore’ and also features P&O Cruises’ first area with a retractable roof, ‘SkyDome’.

The line reads: “SkyDome is a relaxed pool setting by day with dining and entertainment by night, including stunning aerial performances, stage productions and blockbuster movies outdoors on SeaScreen.”

The Altitude Skywalk High Ropes Experience

On the food front, there are 12 restaurants joined by eight other casual dining spots.

One, ‘Green & Co with Mizuhana’, has a menu headlined by plants and fish ‘served in elegant and elegant surroundings’.

Mizuhana is a new sushi bar created by P&O Cruises for Arvia and is located within Green & Co. Here, the line says, “guests can watch the expert chefs at work while enjoying ocean views” and ” expert advice on pairing and vibrant cocktails complete the experience.’

Also on board is the 6th Street Diner, “casual by day with a sophisticated nightlife vibe, complete with retro seating, mood lighting and a jukebox, and serving up all the American flavors like specialty fried chicken and bourbon mascarpone waffles.” .

Already across the fleet, P&O Cruises’ signature signature restaurants, Epicurean, Sindhu, The Glass House, The Keel & Cow and The Olive Grove are also located in Arvia.

P&O Cruises Meanwhile, the Oasis Spa offer is present and correct, but it has new treatments exclusive to Arvia: two suites for couples, each with a hammam and a steam room, a therapeutic cold room, a ‘restorative’ salt sauna ‘ and an ‘invigorating’ Kneipp walk that combines a pebble foot massage with hot and cold water treatments to stimulate circulation and increase vitality.

Mission Control is also exclusive to Arvia. This “unique immersive experience” combines multimedia simulation escape gameplay and a live-action story “to create an exciting underwater challenge.”

Also new to Arvia is the stage musical Greatest Days – The Official Take That Musical, an adaptation of the acclaimed West End musical The Band, featuring the songs from Take That and a story by Olivier Award-winning writer Tim Firth.

Arvia is also presenting WaveLength, a new interactive game show, starring virtually game show host and host Ben Shephard.
