The mother accused of murdering her one-year-old daughter was photographed for the first time today.

Kinga Wydrzynska, 24, along with partner Michal Stasiak, 26, are accused of murdering their child, Isabella Stasiak, in Rugby, Warwickshire.

The couple both appeared in the dock at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today charged with the murder of Isabella Stasiak in Rugby, Warwickshire.

The alleged killers, both Polish and dressed in gray tracksuits, only provided their names, dates of birth and addresses.

Both were charged with murder and with causing or permitting the death of a child.

Stasiak, a tall and very thin man with a goatee beard, faced three additional charges of possessing indecent images of children, namely 63 category A images, 23 category B images and 14 category C images.

According to the indictment, these came into his possession between October 26, 2022 and January 7, 2025.

In a statement, Warwickshire Police said they were called to a house in the New Bilton area of ​​Rugby at 4.37am on Tuesday to reports of a baby in cardiac arrest.

The child was taken to hospital, but died.

Each defendant provided a different home address when asked to provide it in court.

Gez Newsome, acting for the prosecution, requested reporting restrictions on the case to prevent the victim or perpetrators being named.

But this was rejected by District Judge Qureshi, who said: ‘The law only prohibits naming a child under the age of 18 if he or she is still alive.’

Both were remanded in custody until Monday morning when they will appear at Warwick Crown Court.

Their legal representatives said bail applications would be made at a later date.
