A ‘beautiful and caring’ mother, 27, with a six-month-old baby, was found dead as a man, 66 – who lived at the same address – has been charged with her murder.

Mckyla Taylor, 27, was found dead at a house in Lowtown Street, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, shortly after 2am on Tuesday.

In an emotional tribute, Mckyla’s family said: ‘There are just no words to describe what we’re going through as a family.

‘All we can say is our hearts are absolutely heartbroken.

The ‘heartbroken’ family of murdered Mckyla Taylor, 27 – who was found dead at a house in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, shortly after 2am on Tuesday – said they have been left with a ‘big hole in our hearts that can never be fixed’

In an emotional tribute, Mckyla’s family said: ‘There are just no words to describe what we’re going through as a family’

‘We’ve lost such a beautiful and caring daughter, mummy, sister, auntie, granddaughter and cousin.

‘We’re just truly broken that our darling Mckyla has been taken from us in the worst possible way and we will never get to see her beautiful face and smile again.

‘It’s just left us with such a big hole in our hearts that can never be fixed.’

David Jackson, 66, who lived at the same address as Mckyla, has been charged with murder.

He is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday.

Detective Inspector Kaz Smithson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: ‘Mckyla’s death was an absolute tragedy and I can only imagine the pain her loved ones are going through right now.

‘I’d like to pass on my sincere condolences to the family and reassure them we’re doing everything we possibly can to bring them the justice they deserve.

‘We’re pleased to have taken a significant step in our investigation by charging a suspect who has now appeared before the courts.’
