Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who promoted Leicester last season before joining the Blues this summer, triumphed on his return to the King Power as goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez left the west London club just a point behind in second place put Manchester City.
Leicester meanwhile, having dropped to 16th with their sixth defeat of the campaign, sacked Steve Cooper on Sunday afternoon, just five months into his tenure as Foxes boss.
Footage obtained by Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet shows the Leicester players hanging their heads on Saturday evening at the Museo nightclub in Copenhagen.
Mail Sport understands that Leicester’s players had traveled to Denmark to enjoy an early Christmas ahead of the busy festive period.

In the footage obtained by Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet, a sign reading ‘Enzo I miss u’ is held up as players, including Winks (right), laugh and film the moment on their smartphones
The sign, which features the nightclub’s logo and appears to be a message addressed to Leicester’s former boss Maresca, seemed to spark much laughter and jokes within the Foxes camp, with Harry Winks smiling and filming the party on his mobile phone .
In a separate video, Coady can be seen hugging his fellow former England international as they enjoy the wild scenes in the nightclub.
According to the Danish outlet’s sources, Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen were also present at the nightclub.
Leicester made no comment on the video when contacted by Mail Sport.
One account on X, who posted the video, said: ‘Wonder what the Leicester fans say about this? Losing at home and a number of players traveling to Denmark to go clubbing? And the coach is also fired.’
Cooper, who was sacked as Leicester manager on Sunday, was hired on a three-year contract last summer and is leaving despite leaving the club in the best position of the three sides promoted from the Championship last season.
The change in approach between Cooper and former boss Maresca is believed to have upset a number of players, while Foxe’s chiefs were also alarmed by the level of some performances.

Leicester, whose next match is at Brentford on Saturday, will look to get a replacement in in time for the match at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Foxes may turn again to Graham Potter, who discussed the position twice – after Brendan Rodgers’ sacking in spring 2023 and after Maresca’s departure – without making the final move.
